A little bit more progress on the sheet today...
Using Derwent Drawing pencils. These are by far the nicest coloured pencils I have tried so far for how I work. They are very soft and blend so well. I have the 12 set and the colours are a divine, muted kind of earthy tone.
If you prefer a sightly firmer coloured pencil though, I do recommend the 'Artist' range which have a slightly waxy texture and come in lovely jewelled colours.

Colouring In...
I am currently trying to complete my second set of flash artwork.
Here's just a small segment of progression.
I will post more as I go along to keep you all up to date.
I love using colour and these Derwent pencils are just my favourite.
The 'blending' pencil that they produce is fabulous. It smooths and really helps create a nice depth of colour.
Check out their stuff. They have a wide variety of products for you to look at! There are various links on this site to their website. You'll find 'em.

Adventures in Dog Walking
I have recently acquired a puppy!
She is a pomeranian named Toki and is about 3 months old now.
WHAT a hand full.
Having her in my life though, has encouraged me to get outdoors and enjoy the wild a lot more than I used to.
Getting out and about and going on adventures is just about the best thing ever. It gives me a chance to clear my mind and become inspired. Also, I find myself getting back into photography which is a much loved hobby of mine that seems to have been pushed to one side whilst I concentrate on furthering my career. I forgot it's a great way to gather reference material to draw from!

Mister Finch
I stumbled upon this wonderful, creative person and thought I would share.
What a magical little world.
I love needle craft and textiles...I don't really get the chance to divulge given the inky nature of my career.
Maybe I should take a moment to release my inner seamstress. I certainly feel inspired to now. I'm pretty sure you will too.
Take a peek - Mister Finch
Also on Facebook, he often updates sharing many other interesting artists and bits of fun. Definitely worth a follow... - Mister Finch Facebook

A Cat and a Few New Inks...
I had a few new colours delivered to my home address so I got the chance to take this 'cat and ink' photograph before I took them to the studio to use.
I thought it was pretty cute.
Little Brucey likes to get involved.

Guen Douglas
I have been following the lovely Guen Douglas's work for a few years now.
Not only is she beautiful but amazingly talented and is always an inspiration.
She works at Salon Serpent in Amsterdam along with some other outstanding artists. I would so love to visit one day.
If you like good tattoos, check out her portfolio...

Find her also on Facebook and Tumblr.
